Darryl Neier Expands DLG Services with Positive Intelligence (PQ) Coaching

DLG Consulting & Advisory Services is pleased to announce a new addition to its professional services: Positive Intelligence (PQ) Coaching.

For more than 35 years, Darryl S. Neier has worked alongside law enforcement professionals, first responders, executives, investigators, and organizational leaders—people whose careers often require them to make difficult decisions, manage conflict, lead through uncertainty, and perform under significant pressure.

Throughout that work, Darryl has seen firsthand how stress and pressure can affect not only professional performance, but also leadership, relationships, decision-making, and personal well-being.

That experience is what drew him to Positive Intelligence (PQ) and the concept of mental fitness.

What Is Positive Intelligence?

Positive Intelligence is a mental fitness framework designed to help people recognize the internal patterns of thinking that can interfere with performance and well-being.

These patterns are referred to as “Saboteurs.” They can contribute to stress, self-doubt, frustration, conflict, and other reactions that make already difficult situations even more challenging.

The goal isn’t to eliminate pressure or difficult circumstances. Instead, PQ focuses on developing the mental fitness to recognize these automatic responses and respond to challenges with greater clarity, resilience, empathy, creativity, and purpose.

Just as physical fitness can be strengthened through consistent practice, the Positive Intelligence approach treats mental fitness as something that can be developed over time.

A Natural Extension of Darryl’s Work

Becoming a PQ Coach is a natural extension of Darryl’s work in leadership, public safety, organizational improvement, investigations, and first-responder wellness.

His coaching brings together the Positive Intelligence framework with decades of experience working alongside professionals in demanding, high-consequence environments.

That real-world perspective is especially important when working with people whose challenges may extend well beyond ordinary workplace stress.

Darryl is particularly interested in coaching:

  • Law enforcement professionals and first responders
  • Military members and veterans
  • Executives and organizational leaders
  • Investigators
  • Other professionals operating in high-pressure environments

The focus is practical: helping clients build mental fitness they can apply to leadership, difficult conversations, decision-making, professional transitions, relationships, and the pressures they encounter every day.

Curious About the “Little Voice” Inside Your Head?

One of the first steps in the Positive Intelligence process is identifying the Saboteurs that may influence how you respond to challenges.

The Saboteur Assessment is a short assessment designed to help identify some of those recurring mental patterns. For many people, simply recognizing those patterns can provide a new perspective on how they respond to stress, conflict, and pressure.

Darryl is offering the Saboteur Assessment as a free starting point for those interested in learning more.
